Big Moose Lake is a 1,265-acre lake located at the start of the Moose River in Herkimer County. Remote and not heavily populated, this stunning lake allows visitors to get away from it all! There are a few terrific local restaurants (The Big Moose Inn, The Big Moose Station, The Little Fox, The Glenmore) and Dunn’s Boat Service, but you won’t find yourself surrounded by a lot of tourists in this friendly community. For shopping and additional conveniences Eagle Bay is only 10 minutes away and Old Forge is about 20 minutes.
